Our client is looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer on a renewable 12 ndash 24 months contract in Arlington, VA. Position ndash AWS DevOps Engineer The client currently has an opening for an AWS DevOpsSite Reliability Engineer supporting a services platform developed for the client services called the FAS Cloud Services (FCS) Platform. This is a senior software development position that requires secure coding, software architecture and design skills, and customer engagement. FAS Cloud Services (FCS) is a Services Platform that leverages a secure cloud environment to deliver Application Services to client Systems. The Services provide application modernization features that allow for a significant reduction in infrastructure and operating costs by leveraging shared products that are built \"secure by design\" and are supported by an enterprise team. FCS's business mission is, \"Let the developers focus on development and we will handle the rest.\" FCS delivers Products and Services that provide key development tools and capabilities for Application Tenants and Data Consumers. The foundation of these Products and Services is a highly integrated DevOps pipeline that automates how Tenants can manage their Applications with FCS Products. FCS has performed the heavy lifting by developing all the core integrations required to provide a secure environment that scales and provides value to your application and data needs. Duties Responsibilities -Enhance and support solutions and services for applications hosted on the FCS Platform, including continuous integration and deployment, monitoring, logging and reporting. -Identify and design new solutions to Platform or Tenant needs, including defining features, architecture and user stories for implementation. -Enhance and support the security posture of the FCS Platform, including security vulnerability analysis and remediation. -Support current and prospective FCS tenants with technical and solutioning requests. -Be flexible, agile, and learning-oriented. Required Skills bull Strong background in LinuxUnix Administration bull Experience with automationconfiguration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent to achieve bluegreen and canary deployment configurations bull Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required) bull Strong experience with SQL and MySQL, Redshift bull A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl etc.) bull Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service - multi container, multi region instance management.
